These are our Computer Science Capstone projects for the 22-23 School Year.

couriender:

333 billion emails were sent in 2022; 38% of office workers cited “email fatigue” as being a likely reason to push them to leave their jobs. The couriender Gmail and Outlook plugin helps high-school students and working adults learn to spice up their emails. The user simply chooses the tone and impact they desire, rapidly builds out emails with suggestions, and learns how to be a better email-writer with helpful explanations.

GF Eats:

GF Eats is a platform that works to ensure that people who are Celiac or Gluten-Free feel safe eating out and ordering in. GF Eats works similarly to Postmates and UberEats, however, every restaurant or menu we display, our company has met with the restaurant and examined the kitchen to ensure that these restaurants are safe to eat. GF Eats works to display all the local Gluten Free certified options, helping to alleviate that issue of those with Celiac having to eat the same food every day, and to ensure that nobody is getting sick from the food they eat. We are targeting any of the 30% of Americans who avoid gluten due to an allergy or simply a dietary choice.

ShelterHelper:

Homelessness is at a record high in NYC and there is no centralized shelter database. ShelterHelper is a web platform that connects people affected by homelessness with shelters in their area. It allows shelters to keep track of, and update, how many beds they have available, and allows inter-shelter communication across the whole system to make sure the people in need have access to a bed. Through maps integration it will also help those people navigate from wherever they accessed the platform to the nearest shelter.

Social Capital:

Social Capital is an algorithm backed stock portfolio that replicates the flexibility of personal investing while maintaining the stability of a stock fund. We connect members to a pool of socially conscious, profitable companies that they can pick and choose to put in their personalized app that explains everything from the financial history of the company, to its social impact. There is a large market for socially focused investing and this market is growing in younger generations.
